Israel Getting Ready to Pick Your Pocket

If the 80 billion per year we are spending in Iraq is not enough, Israel now wants 2.2 billion to remove the settlements that they put there using your money in the first place (at least indirectly).

Israel will ask the United States for $2.2 billion, one of the largest aid requests by the Jewish state, to pay for its planned withdrawal from the occupied Gaza Strip, Israeli political sources said on Monday.

Just thought I would let you know in case your day was going too well.

I for one am sick and tired of our tax dollars going to support Israel. What do we get in return for this - spies on our home soil, a re-directed terrorism problemm, technology theft, ecstasy smugglers, a hamstrung news media, military secrets sold to China, wars fought by the US miloitary on Israel's behalf, nuclear proliferation, regional instability, etc., etc., etc.
ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Oy vey - they're only asking 3% more a year! This is the only democracy in the middle east with six million people to defend against 1 billion arabs and you want to give them bopkis?? How do you plan to spread freedom that way?

Shirel, are you being sarcastic? "Spreading freedom" is pure rhetoric these days--it comes at the price of total insecurity. Besides, I've heard only Jews can vote in Israel--is that the kind of freedom you want to spread? Or do you mean the same kind of freedom the Palestinians now have?

If the Israelis couldn't figure out how to integrate themselves by now, there's no amount of money that can solve their problems.

Let the Israelis take private donations from all the rich Jewish lawyers in the US-not my taxpayer money. I've got better things planned for it.

You've heard wrong. Every citizen of Israel, Jewish, Arab, Druze, Circassian, or anyone else can vote.

Arabs can and do serve in the Knesset, either in the major parties (Likud, Labor) or in their own exclusivist parties. Arabs can and do sit on the Supreme Court. Arabs can and do play on the Israeli national soccer team (and become the heros of the country when they score a last minute goal to keep Israel in World Cup qualifying!!). Arabs can and do partake in all aspects of Israeli social and political life.

As for funding the disengagement plan, I am ambivalent about America picking up the tab. I think the Arab states, which were responsible for most of the conflict that led to the occupation, should be willing to chip in some money. Europe, which has provided the Palestinians with more aid per capita than any other group of people in the world, should chip in their share as well.

But I'm not antisemitic, I'm just antizionist!

Interpreting the above as racist talk is a bit of a stretch. First off, the Semite tribe represents a race, not a religion and this race includes many Palestinian Arabs. The word "antisemitic" needs to be defined properly--because it makes people sound racist and detracts from the discussion at hand.

Especially as it is now being used synonymously with anyone who criticizes Israel. I am surprised the zionists haven't taken over webster to change the dictionary definition of antisemitism to include criticism of Israel (which is a governemnt--not a religion or even a race).

By the way, there has been talk about legislation in Congress to do something similar--not sure if it passed.

I am against Jewish Hypocrites, Christian Hypocrites, and Wahabists, or hypocrites of any religion but that doesn't mean I want anybody in a death camp.

The worst name you can call me is a "religious-hypocrite intolerant"
antistatist.

It's so easy to jump and call someone "antisemitic" these days. It's a thought-control tool that allows zionists to dismiss people out of hand, as though we should feel guilty about a holocaust we never participated in.

There have been worse atrocities committed this century than the Jewish holocaust, such as the
20 million Chinese who died at the hands of the Japanese. But the only atrocity I seem to hear about or am supposed to care about is the Jewish one.

I think us Americans should feel guilty about the Iraqi civilian holocaust that we have perpetrated over the last 15 years, over 100 thousand children died per UN estimates. Clinton is just as guilty as the Bushes on that one.

I think "Israel-firsters" (be they rich Jewish lawyers, poor Jewish Walmart stockboys, or confused Arab Mullahs) should donate all the money they want to Israel out of their own pocketbooks, but not out of mine.

This is what Jews call chutzpah, right? I presume you mean the Arab states that said in 1998--

"There is no Zionism, colonialization, or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands."

or this?--

"Everybody has to move, run and grab as many (Palestinian) hilltops as they can to enlarge the (Jewish) settlements because everything we take now will stay ours...Everything we don't grab will go to them."

Oops, those were Ariel Sharon. How about this by David ben Gurion--

"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle ... "

How can anyone claim the Arab states were "responsible for the occupation" when the occupation is what Zionism is all about? The poeple who are responsible are the European Zionists who came down to take the Arab's lands for themselves, starting in the 30s.

Even Israelis (among themselves at least) recognize this--

"Between ourselves it must be clear that there is no room in this country for two nations. As long as the Arabs are here we shall never reach our goal which is to become an independent nation on this little stretch of territory. The only solution is for at least western Palestine to be without Arabs and to achieve this there is no other way except to displace them towards the neighboring countries, and to displace them all. No Arab must stay here. . . .and only if we succeed shall we be able to absorb the millions of our brothers [who are still in the Diaspora]. There is no other solution." (Israeli Advisor on Arab Affairs, 1967)

Surely you mean: since Europe has already done so much to help the Palestinians, they SHOULDN'T have to chip in more? I almost get the impression you RESENT anyone giving humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. Since Jews are known to be such a generous people, I will assume that was a typo on your part.

Here's another possibility for you: PAY FOR IT YOUR-F*ING-SELVES!

Since the Palestinians do not have their own country, and Israel seems to be "hosting" their terrority quite a bit these days, why aren't Palestinians allowed to vote in Israel ? Are they prisoners in an Israeli concentration camp?

Moving the settlers should not cost this much. It should cost around $4000 I believe, which comes out to 50 cents per bullet.
These jewish terrorists need to be shot on sight.
