Sibel Edmonds

Vanity Fair recently had an article on (the attractive) Sibel Edmonds.

Her story is an interesting one. She was hired by the FBI to do translation work. While at the FBI she uncovered criminal activity by certain Turkish business groups and, more interestingly, another translator within the FBI who was covering up the incriminating translations. When she attempted to expose the activity she was fired. The translator she exposed left the country shortly thereafter never to return.

What makes the story particularly interesting is that a) she claims some of the translations are related to 9/11 and b) some high level government officials are involved in the criminal activities.

In a recent interview with Scott Horton she discusses the Vanity Fair article and her attempt to get a gag order removed so she can discuss the details of her case. Xymphora discusses the interview here.

During the interview Sibel gives and interesting "example" of the type of corruption she thinks she uncovered.

These people who call themselves Americans and these people are using their position, their official position within these agencies – some of them in the Department of Defense, some of them in the Department of State – and yet, what they are doing with their position, with their influence is against the United States' national security, it's against the best interests of its people, and that is treason. Be it giving information to those that are either quasi-allies – and I would underline quasi, who one day will be another al-Qaeda – and who are already are engaged in activities that are damaging to our country, its security and its interests – and that is treason. So that's what I was referring to. And what would you call someone who, let's say if they were to go after Douglas Feith, and if they were to establish that Douglas Feith with his access to information, willingly, intentionally used the information he had and gave it to those that would one day use it or maybe right now are using that information against the United States. Would you call that treason?

It would certainly be nice to hear what she has to say.

Met Sibel Edmonds at a recent hearing of the 9/11 Commission (Public Discourse project), and the 9/11 Commissioner hosting the hearing cut it off without a 'Q & A' in an apparent attempt to not allow her to make comments which would have been aired on C-SPAN/C-SPAN 2 as well..

Take a look at the post about what Cindy Sheehan had so accurately written about the PNAC Neocon cabal in the 'Comments' section of the following post currently appearing at the top of http://www.huffingtonpost.com:

I think Mrs Edmonds is Iranian. Iranian women are typically pretty good looking relative to arab women.

If Edmonds is creditible and she appears to be..her biggest threat seems to be to our home grown enemies..our own politicans ..and inbred agencies where no one, no one, puts their duty to the country ahead of their personal welfare or "other country" agenda.

Israel, the neos, the zionist, the arms industry, could not have gained their influence without being aided and abetted by our own government. That is the site of our problems. And why we don't cut off the head of the snake and do away with them first is beyond me.

Of course 'high level people' are implicated.
There is a theory that says that anyone rich is a crook.
Wilson said to Morgenthau sr, who had contributed substantially financially, in the USA moneycrazy, to his election, when Morgenthau came to collect his prize, secretary of finance, 'that someone that rich could not be honest'.
The 2002 Turkish investigation into the alleged Armenian genocide states that Morgenthau, his consolation prize was being ambassador in the Ottoman empire, created this genocide, by interviews to the W press and speeches.
It may have been that a large christian state in NE Anatolia appealed to Morgenthau, after the 1917 Balfour declaration.

From the Vanity Fair article:

It’s safe to say that Edmonds inherited her fearless obstinacy from her father, Rasim Deniz, who died in 2000. Born in the Tabriz region of northwestern Iran, many of whose natives speak Farsi (Persian), Turkish, and Azerbaijani, he was one of the Middle East’s leading reconstructive surgeons, but his forthright liberal and secular opinions brought him into a series of conflicts with the local regimes. One of Sibel’s earliest memories is of a search of her family’s house in Tehran by members of SAVAK, the Shah’s secret police, who were looking for left-wing books. Later, in 1981, came a terrifying evening after the Ayatollah Khomeini’s Islamist revolution, when Sibel was 11. She was waiting in the car while her father went into a restaurant for takeout. By the time Deniz returned, his vehicle had been boxed in by government S.U.V.’s and Sibel was surrounded by black-clad revolutionary guards, who announced they were taking her to jail because her headscarf was insufficiently modest.

So I think she is Iranian.

Is Cindy Sheehan an 'anti-Semite' for telling it as it is about PNAC/Israel (even if she is disingenuously denying that she wrote such)?
