Michael Scheuer on Bill Maher
Very interesting exchange between Michael Scheuer and Bill Maher.
First off, Scheuer makes some very patriotic statements about America and American foreign policy. Hat's off to him.
Second, Scheuer opens up discussion on the cost we incur for supporting Israel since 1973.
And finally, Maher admits that a lot of terrorism directed against the United States results from our support for Israel.
And the look on Maher's face in priceless.

The 1973 comment should be fleshed out a bit. Israel received a full peace treaty offer from Egypt in 1971 (following a war which Israel had started in 1967). Israel's leadership considered the offer genuine, but decided to reject it because they felt they could get a better deal if they held out. When Egypt counter-attacked in 1973 to reclaim their land, it's clear that neither the U.S. nor any country had a moral duty to help Israel. Israel deserved to be punished harshly for its aggression, but unfortunately it wasn't.
Thanks for posting this.
Of course Allen Greenspan said the war was about oil--he's Jewish! Do you think he would attribute even one little bit of the rational for war to our blind support for Israel?
Bill Maher, Larry King, Wolf Blitzer, John Stewart, Barbara Walters, etc., etc., etc. All Jewish and all influencing the way Americans view the world.
The Jewish neocons lead us to war. Now we have Jews at the head of Homeland Security and as the Atty. General.
Jewish influence (and the influence of non-Jewish Zionists) needs to be reduced to reflect their proportion of the population.
I just finished reading yhr Mearsheimer/Walt book. I think I will now go out and buy Scheur's!
